Sourcing Cum Merchandising Executive

Job Summary:

• Garments Sourcing Merchant Executive will be responsible for vendor sourcing, cost negotiation, sample & order coordination, production follow-ups, and timely delivery while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source fabric, trims, accessories & finished garments from approved and new vendors
• Develop and maintain vendor database with pricing, lead time & capacity
• Costing & price negotiation with suppliers to achieve target margins
• Coordinate sampling (fit, proto, PP samples) and approvals
• Prepare purchase orders (POs) and follow up for execution
• Track production status, timelines & critical paths
• Ensure quality standards & buyer requirements are met
• Coordinate with QA, production, logistics & finance teams
• Handle order amendments, delays & issue resolution
• Ensure on-time shipment & documentation coordination
• Maintain records for costing sheets, POs, T&A & vendor performance
• Skills & Competencies:
• Strong knowledge of garment sourcing & merchandising process
• Good understanding of fabrics, trims, garment construction & costing
• Strong negotiation & vendor management skills
• Ability to handle multiple styles & tight timelines
• Good communication skills (Email, buyer & vendor coordination)
• Proficient in MS Excel, ERP & email communication
• Problem-solving and analytical mindset
