Telecom Engineer

Qualifications

Must Have-

B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics & Telecommunication / Electrical / Electronic Engineering

OR    

Diploma in Telecommunication / Electronics Engineering (with relevant experience)

Preferred-

· Certification in Networking / Fiber Optics / RF Engineering

·  Knowledge of Telecom Infrastructure Standards

·  Safety Certification (Electrical / Tower Safety)

Experience

Must Have-

· 2 to 3 years of experience in Telecom Projects / Network Installation / Field Operations

·  Experience in installation, testing, and commissioning of telecom equipment

Preferred-

·  Experience in OFC (Optical Fiber Cable) projects

·  Experience in BTS / Tower installation

·  Experience in coordination with vendors and contractors

Skills

Technical Skills-

·  Knowledge of Telecom Networks (Fiber, RF, BTS, Microwave)

·  Understanding of OFC laying, splicing & testing

·  Familiarity with telecom equipment installation & commissioning

·  Knowledge of electrical systems related to telecom towers

·  Ability to read technical drawings & network layouts

·  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Roles & Responsibilities

·  Supervise installation and commissioning of telecom equipment.

·  Conduct site surveys and prepare technical feasibility reports.

·  Coordinate OFC laying, splicing, and testing activities.

·  Ensure compliance with telecom standards and safety regulations.

·  Monitor project timelines and report progress to reporting manager.

·  Troubleshoot network faults and provide technical resolutions.

·  Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

·  Maintain project documentation and MIS reports.

·  Ensure quality control during execution.

·  Support cost control and material reconciliation.
