Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and experienced Turner (Lathe Machine Operator) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating lathe machines to produce precision metal components according to technical specifications. The role involves interpreting blueprints, setting up machines, and ensuring high-quality output while maintaining safety and efficiency.

• Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and set up conventional and/or CNC lathe machines to perform turning operations.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Select appropriate tools, cutting speeds, and feed rates for various materials.
• Perform precision machining of metal components by shaping, cutting, and finishing surfaces.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Maintain and perform routine maintenance on lathe machines and tools.
• Adjust machine settings as needed to achieve required tolerances.
• Adhere to workplace safety regulations and company policies.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other machinists to optimize production processes.
• Keep records of production work, including materials used and machining parameters.

Requirements✅ Proven experience as a Turner (Lathe Machine Operator) in a manufacturing or workshop setting.

✅ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

✅ Hands-on experience with manual and/or CNC lathe machines.

✅ Familiarity with different metals, cutting tools, and machining techniques.

✅ Strong understanding of tolerances, surface finishes, and machining calculations.

✅ Knowledge of quality control processes and measuring instruments.

✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

✅ Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

✅ Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

✅ Physical ability to lift and handle materials as required.

Preferred Qualifications✔ Certification or diploma in machining, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
