Job Description
A VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining VMC machines to produce precision metal components as per technical drawings and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate VMC machines.
- Load raw materials and unload finished parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Monitor machine operations and make minor adjustments.
- Check finished parts using measuring instruments (Vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.).
- Maintain machine cleanliness and follow safety guidelines.
- Report defects or machine issues to the supervisor.
Skills Required:
- Basic knowledge of VMC machine operation.
- Ability to read technical drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring tools.
- Attention to detail and quality control.
