Accountant

A Senior Accountant is a professional responsible for managing and overseeing a company’s financial records, reporting, and compliance. The role usually involves supervising accounting processes and supporting financial decision-making.

Key Job Roles & Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure accuracy of balance sheets, profit & loss, and cash flow reports.

Accounts Management

Manage accounts payable and receivable.

Monitor daily accounting transactions and ledger entries.

Tax Compliance

Handle tax calculations and filings such as Goods and Services Tax (GST), Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), and Income Tax returns.

Ensure compliance with government regulations.

Audit Support

Prepare documents for internal and external audits.

Coordinate with auditors and resolve queries.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Assist management in preparing budgets.

Analyze financial data to support business planning.

Reconciliation

Perform bank reconciliation, vendor reconciliation, and account reconciliation.

Team Supervision

Guide junior accountants or accounting staff.

Review their work for accuracy.

ERP / Accounting Software

Manage accounting through software like Tally, SAP ERP, or Zoho Books.
