Job Description
Safex, a 50-year-old family business with a commanding presence in the fire safety industry, provides stability and growth opportunities for dedicated employees. Our client base includes MNCs, OEMs, and retail customers. With two manufacturing facilities in Ahmedabad, we specialize in fire extinguishers, sprinklers, hydrants, valves, and other fire safety products.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a diligent Admin/Accounts Assistant to handle day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks at our Ahmedabad Sales Office. This role involves maintaining records, assisting with GST compliance, processing invoices, and managing customer payments and follow-ups.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts & Order Processing
- Process sales orders, prepare invoices, generate E-way bills, and arrange dispatches.
- Enter expense bills and assist in the preparation and verification of data for GST returns.
- Address any GST mismatch reports, working closely to ensure compliance.
- Coordinate with the Head Office for vendor payments as per schedule.
- Maintain the stock register for branch office and factories in Excel.
Administrative Duties
- Record and submit customer payment advices promptly.
- Conduct follow-ups with customers for timely debtor recovery.
- Prepare and submit necessary documents and reports to the bank.
- Generate and maintain accurate MIS reports on a regular basis.
- Record and manage staff attendance, including factory attendance records.
- Support expense control measures by tracking and recording expenses as directed.
Qualifications:
- HSC/ Graduate from commerce background
- 1-2 years of experience in administrative and accounts support roles.
- Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Spectrum software is a plus, though training will be provided.
