Job Description
Role SummaryThe Agency Development Manager is responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing a team of Life Insurance Agents/Advisors to drive business growth through the agency channel. The role focuses on building a high-performing advisor network, achieving sales targets, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & LicensingIdentify, recruit, and onboard potential Life Insurance Advisors/Agents.
- Guide candidates through IRDA licensing procedures and certification.
- Build a strong advisor pipeline for sustainable business growth.
- 2. Training & DevelopmentProvide product, sales, and process training to new and existing advisors.
- Coach agents on sales techniques, customer needs analysis, and relationship building.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and skill-refresh sessions.
- 3. Sales & Target AchievementDrive sales through advisors to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Support advisors in generating leads, closing sales, and building a customer base.
- Review advisor performance and implement action plans for improvement.
- 4. Relationship ManagementMaintain strong relationships with advisors to ensure motivation and retention.
- Resolve agent queries and provide ongoing operational and sales support.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective service delivery.
- 5. Compliance & Process AdherenceEnsure all advisors follow company policies, ethical sales practices, and regulatory norms.
- Maintain accurate records and reports related to recruitment, training, and sales.
- Coordinate with internal teams for underwriting, claims, and customer service issues.

- Qualifications & ExperienceGraduation in any discipline (MBA preferred)
- 2–5+ years of experience in sales, agency development, or insurance (life insurance preferred)
- Experience in recruiting or team management is an advantage
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Number of active advisors recruited and retained
- Sales targets achievement (FYP – First-Year Premium)
- Advisor productivity and activation ratio
- Training hours and advisor development metrics
