Area Sales Manager (B2C)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Area Sales Manager (General Trade) to manage and expand our General Trade business in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in FMCG/Food sales, excellent market knowledge, and strong distributor and retailer management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned territory.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.

Ensure effective implementation of trade promotions and schemes.

Monitor product availability, visibility, and placement in General Trade outlets.

Handle primary and secondary sales through effective distributor management.

Regularly visit market to identify new opportunities and stay updated on competitor activities.

Execute and monitor new product launches and marketing initiatives.

Maintain timely and accurate sales reports and share insights with the sales manager.

Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain credit discipline in the market.

Requirements:

Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing preferred).

2–5 years of experience in General Trade Sales in the food or FMCG industry.

Strong knowledge of the Ahmedabad market and surrounding areas.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting tools.

Willing to travel extensively within the territory.
