Argon Welder

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Argon (TIG/GTAW) Welder with experience in heat exchanger tube welding. The candidate must be proficient in stainless steel tube-to-tube sheet welding using pure argon shielding gas and capable of producing high-quality, defect-free welds as per industrial standards.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform TIG (GTAW) welding using Argon gas shielding
• Weld stainless steel tubes (SS304 / SS316) to tube sheets
• Carry out tube-to-tube and tube-to-tube sheet welding
• Perform root welding with proper back purging
• Set welding parameters (amps, pulse, gas flow) as per WPS
• Ensure proper fit-up and joint preparation before welding
• Maintain weld quality with minimal distortion and oxidation
• Conduct visual inspection of weld joints
• Follow WPS, PQR, and quality standards (ASME / ISO / AWS if required)
• Maintain welding equipment and consumables
• Required SkillsStrong experience in TIG (Argon) welding
• Knowledge of DCEN welding for stainless steel
• Ability to weld thin wall tubes (1 mm – 3 mm thickness)
• Experience in heat exchanger manufacturing preferred
• Knowledge of purging techniques
• Ability to read engineering drawings and WPS
• Understanding of welding defects and correction methods
