Job Title: Assembly Fitter

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Team Leader

Job Summary:

The Assembly Fitter is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing components or products according to specifications, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met. The role requires technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, or electronic components as per engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Fit and adjust parts to ensure proper functioning and alignment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately.
• Inspect and test assembled products to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
• Identify defective parts or components and report for corrective action.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
• Record assembly activities and report any deviations or issues to the supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical/electrical assembly is preferred.
• Proven experience as an assembly fitter or in a similar role in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, and work for extended periods.
• Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices.

Working Conditions:

• Manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and tools.
• May require standing for long periods and lifting moderate weights.
• Shift work may be required depending on production schedule.
