Assistant Manager- Technical Services

Responsibilities

Technical Services Trainee - O2

Technical Specification Drafting:

  • Assists in drafting technical specifications for services and projects under the guidance of senior staff, ensuring alignment with the business requirements of ATGL.
  • Aids in the technical analysis process by collecting data to determine specifications for new projects.
  • Contributes to the creation of technical documents and guides for internal use, ensuring consistency with company standards.

Procurement Support and Documentation:

  • Raises Purchase Requisitions according to the specified contract terms, facilitating the timely procurement of materials and services.
  • Maintains and organizes documentation for all procurement activities, adhering to company protocols and procedures.
  • Tracks the procurement process to ensure that orders and delivery timelines align with project schedules.
  • Collaborates with procurement and finance departments to address any discrepancies in orders or billing.

GIS Management and Value Engineering:

  • Supports the management of the Geographic Information System (GIS) by performing data entry and validation tasks.
  • Utilizes GIS to gather spatial data for project planning under the direction of senior staff.
  • Engages in value engineering tasks by collecting data and preparing reports on service quality and cost management.
  • Assists in identifying areas for efficiency improvements within technical service operations.
  • Supports the modeling and simulation of pipeline networks by preparing data and running preliminary analyses.

Technology Project Support:

  • Contributes to identifying technological needs by researching and compiling information.
  • Provides administrative support for pilot project implementations, including document management and reporting.
  • Assists in the collection of data and feedback for the evaluation of pilot projects.
  • Supports the transition of successful pilot projects to full-scale deployment by preparing necessary documentation.
  • Drafts the Technical Services newsletter for quarterly release and publication.

Vendor Engagement Support:

  • Supports the vendor evaluation process by organizing product samples and proposal information for review.
  • Observes vendor negotiations to gain an understanding of procurement strategies and quality assurance practices.
  • Tracks vendor performance against service level agreements and assists in reporting any issues to senior staff.
  • Helps maintain vendor relationships by assisting in communication and issue resolution.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.

Work Experience:

2+ years of relevant experience in technical services, engineering design, or project support.

Preferred Industry:

Experience in the gas distribution, oil and gas, or energy sectors with exposure to engineering projects and technology implementation.
