Associate Consultant

Responsibilities

Support in Project Planning and Feasibility

  • Assist in gathering and organizing data required for the preparation of mine plans that optimize resource extraction for metal mining projects.
  • Support in the development of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) by collecting necessary technical data and ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Contribute to the preparation of basic techno-economic feasibility studies by assisting with data analysis and report generation.
  • Aid in the preparation of Progressive and Final Mine Closure Plans under the guidance of senior team members.

Assistance in Operational Planning and Scheduling

  • Assist in the preliminary development of pit shells by gathering data and performing basic calculations to support operational efficiency.
  • Support the creation of pit layouts and mine development sequences by organizing and processing data provided by senior planners.
  • Contribute to the preparation of short and mid-term operational plans by compiling and analyzing relevant data.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual and quarterly operational plans, ensuring alignment with provided guidelines and operational requirements.

Equipment and Manpower Planning

  • Assist in the selection process for appropriate mining equipment by collecting and analyzing data on equipment performance and suitability.
  • Support the planning and scheduling of equipment usage by maintaining records and providing input on equipment availability.
  • Assist in the assessment of manpower requirements for mining operations by organizing and updating manpower data.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect and analyze operational data to evaluate the performance of mining activities against the plan.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on mine planning, production metrics, and variance analysis.
  • Use data-driven insights to recommend improvements in mine planning and operational efficiency.

Technical and Financial Analysis

  • Assist in the analysis of bid documents, providing necessary inputs to the Business Development team for project bidding.
  • Collaborate with different departments to plan bidding strategies for both coal and metal mining blocks.
  • Support in estimating costs (Capex and Opex) and developing financial models for mining projects.

Regulatory Compliance and Safety

  • Ensure all mine planning activities comply with relevant environmental and safety regulations.
  • Assist in preparing statutory reports and documentation required for regulatory approvals.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with mining laws and safety standards.

Technical Support and Continuous Improvement

  • Provide technical support to site teams in the implementation of mine plans and troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in open cast mining.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance mine planning processes and outcomes.

Execute Digital Tasks with Proficiency

  • Utilize assigned digital tools and software to complete daily tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Continuously upskill in emerging digital technologies relevant to the role.
 

Qualifications

Work Experience (Range of years):

2+ Years of Experience in Mining Industry (Non Coal Mining preferred)
