Associate General Manager - Business Development

Bidding Strategy and Transaction Structuring:
*Lead the identification and evaluation of iron blocks for suitability in MDO and commercial coal mining auctions.
*Collaborate with end-user companies to structure transactions post-acquisition, ensuring the transfer of iron block names and alignment with group interests.
*Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) to gather and analyze base data for informed decision-making.
*Develop strategic bidding plans by conducting site visits, engaging with field personnel, and running financial models.
*Maintain and update MDO business competitors Technical & Financial capabilities, for identification of qualifying parties as per qualification requirement (QR) published by various MDO tenders.

Financial Modeling and Analysis:
*Conduct comprehensive financial modeling to assess the viability of potential iron ore blocks.
*Prepare detailed financial models and cost analyses to support bid submissions, present financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
*Ensure all financial analyses incorporate risk management, logistics, and commercial viability aspects.
*Research, analysis, preparation and update of presentation on next 5 years strategic planning for mining business- shortlisting of coal blocks, analysis on MDO tender/ auction timeline, production phasing, SWOT of existing business.

Bid Documentation and Submission:
*Oversee the preparation and vetting of bid documents, tender documents, and contract agreements.
*Evaluate commercial and non-commercial parameters of RFPs and agreements within bidding documents.
*Interact with clients and stakeholders to prepare and submit pre-bid queries and suggest changes to tender clauses.
*Manage the entire bid submission process, including the preparation and submission of final and financial bids.

Bidding and Lease Acquisition:
*Ensure thorough evaluation of commercial and non-commercial parameters in RFPs and agreements.
*Facilitate pre-bid queries and interactions with clients for tender modifications.
*Oversee the preparation and submission of final bid documents, including financial bids.
*Achieve successful acquisition of coal blocks through strategic and aggressive bidding.

Cross-functional Coordination:
*Coordinate with finance, MTCS, external agencies like CMPDI, GSI, MECL,etc, internal teams, and end-user companies to ensure seamless bidding, evaluation, and financial modeling processes.
*Maintain clear and consistent communication among internal stakeholders to support the preparation of financial models and strategic planning for bidding.
*Collaborate with end-user companies to structure transactions post-acquisition, ensuring the transfer of coal block names and alignment with group interests.
*Oversee the transition of acquired iron ore blocks to Contract Administration and Project Management teams upon successful bidding and document signing, ensuring a smooth handover.

Education Qualifications:
Essential: B.E / B. Tech (Metallurgy / Mineral Engineering) from any reputed institute and MBA nice to have
