Job Description

As a Business Development Associate, you’ll serve as the engine of our 

revenue pipeline—researching target markets, initiating personalized 

outreach, and teeing up high-value meetings for senior sellers. You’ll 

combine data-driven prospecting with persuasive communication to 

uncover client needs, qualify opportunities, and craft collateral that shows 

exactly how our solutions solve real problems. The role sits at the crossroads 

of sales and marketing, giving you daily exposure to strategy, product, and 

customer-success teams. Success is measured by the volume and quality of 

opportunities you generate, the precision of your CRM data, and your ability 

to learn quickly in a fast-moving, quota-driven environment—setting you up 

for rapid advancement into full-cycle business development or account 

management.

+ Essential Job Functions

Prospect & Research Leads: Identify target accounts and decision- makers.

Outbound Outreach & Qualification: Engage via email/phone/social and 

confirm fit (BANT).

Book Meetings / Demos: Secure discovery calls for senior sales reps.

Maintain CRM Hygiene: Log every touch-point and keep pipeline data 

current.

Prepare Collateral & Proposals: Draft one-pagers, slides, and RFP inputs.

Monitor Metrics & Iterate: Track open, reply, and conversion rates; tweak 

tactics.

Share Market Intelligence: Feed competitor and industry insights back to 

the team.

+ Education and Experience

 Bachelor's Degree: A degree in business administration, marketing, 

engineering, IT, or a related field is frequently required. 

 Prior experience, as a Business Development Associate or any similar role.

+ Qualifications and Skills

 Source Prospects: Research target markets, build lead lists, and identify 

decision-makers.

 Initiate Outreach: Run high-volume, multi-channel campaigns (email, 

phone, LinkedIn) to spark interest.

 Qualify Leads: Assess budget, authority, need, and timeline (BANT) to 

confirm fit.

 Book Meetings: Schedule discovery calls or demos for senior Business 

Development/Sales reps.

 Maintain CRM Accuracy: Log every interaction, update deal stages, and 

keep contact data clean.

 Prepare Sales Collateral: Draft personalized emails, one-pagers, and 

slide decks for outreach and proposals.

 Track & Optimize Metrics: Monitor open, reply, and conversion rates; 

adjust messaging and cadence to improve results.

 Provide Market Intelligence: Share competitor moves and industry 

trends with sales, marketing, and product teams.

Support Proposal/RFP Process: Collect client requirements, compile data, 

and format documents for senior review.

 Hit Activity & Opportunity KPIs: Meet or exceed daily/weekly targets for 

calls, emails, and meetings set, and qualified opportunities generated.
