Chemical Engineer

Develop and optimize formulations of textile auxiliaries (pretreatment to finishing).

Work on products such as wetting agents, dispersing agents, softeners, silicone emulsions, printing gums, and specialty chemicals.

Improve existing products for performance, cost reduction, and stability.

Conduct lab trials, pilot batches, and scale-up activities.

Benchmark and match competitor products.

Troubleshoot product performance issues and customer complaints.

Maintain formulation records and development reports.

Plan, supervise, and monitor batch manufacturing activities.

Ensure proper charging sequence, temperature control, mixing, and pH control.

Maintain batch manufacturing records and SOP compliance.

Monitor production yield and minimize rejections and wastage.

Coordinate with purchase, stores, and maintenance teams.

Ensure smooth scale-up from lab to plant production.

Test raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.

Monitor key QC parameters (pH, viscosity, solid content, active matter, stability, etc.).

Approve batch release based on QC standards.

Maintain COA, QC reports, and lab documentation.

Ensure consistency in product quality across batches.

Maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments.

Identify opportunities to reduce raw material and production costs.

Suggest alternative raw materials without compromising quality.

Improve process efficiency and batch cycle time.

Work on energy and resource optimization.

Support continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintain MSDS, TDS, batch records, and lab reports.

Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals.

Follow statutory, safety, and environmental compliance.

Support ISO, ZDHC, or other compliance initiatives if applicable.
