CNC Programmer

Job Summary:

A CNC Operator is responsible for operating CNC machines to produce precision metal or plastic components according to technical drawings and specifications. The operator ensures quality production, machine safety, and efficiency during the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities:·        

• Operate CNC machines such as CNC lathe or CNC milling machines.
• Load raw materials and unload finished components.
• Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
• Set up tools and machine parameters as per job requirements.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure accurate production.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as Vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic machine maintenance.
• Follow quality standards and safety procedures.
• Identify defects and report any machine or production issues to the supervisor.

Required Skills:·    

• Basic knowledge of CNC machine operations
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Knowledge of measuring tools and gauges
• Understanding of cutting tools and machining process
• Attention to detail and quality control

Experience:·        

• Minimum 2 years as a CNC Operator (preferred)

Working Conditions:·  

• Manufacturing / machine shop environment
• May require shift work
