Job Purpose:

Ensure accurate and competitive project cost estimation and analysis through thorough assessment of bid documents, site conditions, and material availability. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and support vendor management activities. Utilize technical expertise to apply industry advancements and implement innovative cost-saving measures, while maintaining meticulous documentation and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Project Cost Estimation and Analysis:

• Support in costing for tenders, including Quantity Estimation and Costing for HAM, TOT, BOT highway bids based on Bid documents and Site Conditions.
• Study bid documents, identify anomalies, and seek clarifications from the client.
• Conduct site visits to assess material availability and costs and prepare site visit reports.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on MORTH/IRC guidelines and Rate analysis.
• Monitor the activities of Site investigation by prebid consultants.
• Verify Consultant Estimate with respect to checklist
• Obtain prices for supply items in consultation with the Techno-commercial team.

 

Vendor Management:

• Support vendor management activities to ensure effective procurement of deliverables.
• Review and compare contractor offers with internal estimates to determine competitive pricing.

 

Documentation and Record-keeping:

• Maintain accurate records of bid documents and amendments for future reference and communicating same to stakeholders
• Record and maintain a database of Scope, Bid documents, and drawings as required to ensure easy retrieval and reference for future projects
• Maintain a database of vendors, As built Quantities, Policy Circulars, State wise Royalty & Raw material Source to ensure easy retrieval and reference for future projects
• Maintain database of Key inputs material prices to assess future trend.
• Prepare necessary presentations to effectively communicate bid analyses and strategies.
• Assist in other assignments such as change of scope and preparation of claim statements.

 

Technical Expertise and Innovation:

• Study the latest technical specifications and technological advancements relevant to the industry and apply them to projects.
• Identify and implement Value Engineering Options to optimize project costs.
• Adhere to Quality and Safety policies and guidelines in Cost Estimation.

Education Qualification:

• BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
