Cutting Machine Operator

Cutting Machine Operator is responsible for operating Polar brand paper cutting machines to cut paper, board, labels, printed sheets, and related materials accurately as per job specifications. The role requires precision, safety awareness, and adherence to production schedules and quality standards.

• Operate Polar cutting machines safely and efficiently.
• Set up cutting programs as per job card specifications (size, quantity, sequence).
• Load and unload paper stacks or printed material correctly.
• Ensure accurate cutting, trimming, and finishing with minimal wastage.
• Monitor machine performance and report any technical issues or abnormalities.
• Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance.
• Follow production plans, job cards, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain proper documentation of production output and wastage.
• Ensure workplace cleanliness and follow 5S practices.
• Comply with all safety, health, and factory compliance requirements.

• Maintain high cutting accuracy and consistent quality.
• Check finished output against approved samples.
• Use safety guards, sensors, and PPE at all times.
• Follow lock-out/tag-out procedures during maintenance.
• Immediately report unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum 3 years experience operating Polar cutting machines.
• Basic understanding of paper sizes, grain direction, and cutting layouts.
• Ability to read job cards and production instructions.
• Attention to detail and good hand-eye coordination.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshooting.
• Ability to work in shifts and meet production targets.
