Dispatch Supervisor

Job Summary :- The Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the dispatch of Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) to ensure timely delivery, optimal utilization of transit mixers, and adherence to quality, safety, and customer requirements. The role ensures smooth coordination between the batching plant, transport fleet, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily dispatch schedules based on customer orders, site requirements, and production capacity.
• Coordinate with batching plant operators to ensure correct mix design, quantity, and loading sequence.
• Monitor and control the movement of transit mixers to ensure on-time delivery and minimize waiting and turnaround time.
• Supervise dispatch staff, drivers, and yard activities related to dispatch operations.
• Maintain continuous communication with customers, site engineers, drivers, and plant personnel.
• Handle dispatch-related issues such as delays, breakdowns, traffic problems, or order changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, plant SOPs, and transport regulations.
• Monitor fuel usage, fleet utilization, and optimize route planning to reduce costs.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records, delivery challans, GPS logs, and daily reports.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for vehicle availability and breakdown resolution.
• Support billing and commercial teams by ensuring accurate documentation and delivery confirmations.

• Strong knowledge of RMC operations and dispatch planning
• Good coordination, communication, and people management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deliveries simultaneously
• Basic computer skills (Dispatch software, GPS systems, MS Excel)
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Strong understanding of safety and compliance requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Logistics, or related field (preferred)
• 6 months–1 years of experience in RMC dispatch or plant operations
• Prior experience supervising dispatch or fleet operations is an advantage

Working Conditions

• Plant-based role with coordination across multiple construction sites
• May require shift work, early mornings, or extended hours during peak demand
