Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for design and development of real time embedded software/firmware on RTOS based Platforms
• To Analyse domain specific technical or low level requirement and modification as per end customer or system requirement.
• Participate in high level requirements analysis, High level and low level software design
• Perform software testing including unit and functional testing
• Troubleshoots software problems which are complex in nature.
• Documenting technical deliverable like software specifications, design document, code commenting and unit test cases, Release note etc. throughout the project life cycle.
• Follow defined process for software Development life cycle
• Develop new approaches to complex design problems.

Experience / Skills Required

Core Expectation (Non‑Negotiable)

Hands‑on functional validation on real hardware, including:

• Board‑level bring‑up
• Protocol debug
• Signal‑level analysis
• Failure reproduction, isolation, and triage on actual silicon

Mandatory Skill Set

1. Hardware Functional Validation (Must Have)

• Hands‑on experience validating actual silicon (SoC / MCU / ASIC)
• Board‑level bring‑up (power, reset, clock, straps/fuses)
• Working understanding of SRAM / Flash memory
  • Debugging data corruption, access failures, retention issues, boot‑time memory failures

2. Protocol Validation – Automotive (Strong Hands‑On)

Must have active debug experience (not theoretical knowledge) on real hardware:

• UART
• I2C
• SPI
• CAN / CAN‑FD
• LIN
• FlexRay
• Ethernet (Automotive / Standard ENET)

Expected capabilities:

• Signal‑level debug (timing, framing, electrical/protocol errors)
• Register‑level configuration and validation
• Debugging protocol failures due to:
  • Reset / power sequencing issues
  • Clocking and configuration errors

3. Hardware Debug & Lab Skills (Mandatory)

• Hands‑on use of:
  • Logic analyzers
  • Oscilloscopes
  • Protocol analyzers / bus sniffers
• Ability to:
  • Read board schematics
  • Perform pin‑level signal tracing
• Experience validating:
  • Power‑on sequencing
  • Reset behavior
  • Clocking
  • Strap / fuse configuration
• JTAG‑based bring‑up and debug

Must have debug experience with real failures such as: Boot failures, Hang / lock‑up conditions, Data corruption, Intermittent / non‑deterministic HW issues

Personal Attributes

The ideal candidate should have strong Team-work characteristics, being both action and results-oriented. He/she will be a hands-on, “roll-up-the-sleeves” type engineer with a “whatever it takes to get it done” attitude. The successful candidate must be effective operating in a multi disciplined technology environment coupled with an obsession for responsiveness to Project requirements. The successful candidate should be open to learn new processes and technologies.

Education

A Graduate degree in Electronics and communication/Computer-Science is required.  A Masters technical degree is highly desirable.
