Job Description
Job Title : Sales Executive – Solar EPC (Industrial Sales)
Department : Sales
Reporting To: Head – Sales & Marketing
Location : Surat, Gujarat (with travel across industrial regions as required)
Role :
- The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving industrial solar EPC sales in the Surat region.
- The role involves identifying business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored solar solutions for industries.
- The position contributes directly to revenue generation and the company’s growth in the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the industrial solar EPC segment.
- Generate leads through field visits, networking, and referrals in industrial clusters around Surat.
- Present and promote solar EPC solutions to prospective clients (factories, manufacturing units, SMEs, etc.).
- Conduct site surveys in coordination with the technical team to assess feasibility.
- Prepare and deliver proposals, techno-commercial offers, and presentations to clients.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to achieve assigned targets.
- Maintain strong customer relationships for repeat and referral business.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams for smooth handover of signed projects.
- Stay updated on solar policies, industrial energy cost trends, and competitor offerings.
- Submit regular MIS reports on leads, pipeline, and sales performance to management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering, Business, or related field).
- 2–5 years of experience in B2B/industrial sales (solar, power, or capital equipment preferred).
- Knowledge of the solar EPC sector and industrial energy needs will be an added advantage.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong business development and client acquisition skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
- Technical aptitude to understand and explain solar EPC solutions.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and digital sales platforms.
- Local market knowledge of Surat and surrounding industrial areas.
Performance Metrics / KPIs:
- Achievement of monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
- Number of new clients acquired and projects closed.
- Contribution to revenue and market share growth in industrial solar EPC.
- Customer satisfaction and retention.
- Quality and timeliness of reporting and sales pipeline updates.
Other Requirements:
- Based in Surat, with willingness to travel frequently across Gujarat’s industrial clusters.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- Valid driving license preferred.
