Job Description

Head – Advertising & Terminal Monetization (Non-Aero Revenue)

Responsibilities

1. Core Advertising & Media Business (BAU Ownership)

Own P&L for airport advertising across:

  • Terminal interiors & exteriors
  • Approach roads and city-side assets
  • Digital screens, static media, large formats, experiential zones

Drive yield optimization through:

  • Dynamic pricing
  • Inventory rationalization
  • Digital share-of-time models
  • Network-level bundled deals
  • Manage existing media concessionaires / partners and evolve the operating model where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with aviation, security, municipal, and brand-safety regulations.

 

2. Terminal Monetization & Innovation

  • Conceptualize and launch new monetization verticals, including but not limited to:
  • Luxury brand activations in lounges and premium zones
  • Sponsorship of airport bars, lounges, smoking zones, wellness areas
  • Category ownership models (e.g., “Official Whisky Partner of XYZ Airport”)
  • Immersive brand experiences tied to travel, lifestyle, culture, and technology
  • Lead the thinking around terminal naming rights, zone branding, and curated brand districts.

Create monetizable touchpoints across the entire passenger journey:

  • Arrival → security → retail → lounges → boarding → baggage claim → exit
  • Work closely with design, commercial planning, and operations to embed advertising into terminal architecture (not as afterthoughts).

 

3. Strategic Brand Partnerships

Build direct relationships with:

  • Luxury & premium brands
  • Alcobev & lifestyle brands
  • Auto, tech, fintech, travel, and consumer durables brands
  • Shift mix from transactional media buying to long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Develop multi-airport, multi-year sponsorship platforms.
  • Collaborate with global media agencies while increasing direct-to-brand deals.

 

4. Thought Leadership & Future-Proofing

  • Benchmark against global airports, stadiums, malls, and entertainment districts.
  • Bring global best practices in:
  • Programmatic DOOH
  • Data-led audience selling
  • Personalised and contextual advertising
  • AI-led content and measurement
  • Work with data and digital teams to build measurable, ROI-driven offerings for advertisers.
  • Act as the single-point owner for all advertising and sponsorship decisions across the airport.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

Graduate degree (MBA or equivalent) in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.

Work Experience:

15–20+ years of experience in:

OOH / DOOH media

Media monetization

Brand partnerships

Stadiums, large venues, malls, airports, or premium real estate (preferred)

Proven experience managing large P&Ls and negotiating marquee brand deals.

Experience working with luxury and lifestyle brands is a strong advantage.
