Job Purpose: The Corporate Communication Head is responsible for overseeing the company's overall branding and communication strategy, ensuring a cohesive and consistent communication flow across all business units. Also, guides the development of strategic communication plans to enhance company's reputation and digital presence. Leads initiatives to foster stakeholder engagement, manage the communication budget, and support the company's digitalization efforts.

Corporate Communication Head - Mining

Strategic Communication Leadership:

Oversee the coordination and direction of communication efforts across all departments, ensuring alignment with business initiatives and organizational goals.

Architect and implement comprehensive communication strategies, including crisis communication plans, to protect and enhance the company's reputation.

Guide the Central and Site Corporate Communication Executives in managing projects, ensuring quality, adherence to timelines, and governance standards.

Collaborate with various business units to align communication strategies and support their specific communication needs.

Establish and maintain communication protocols and standards to ensure consistency and compliance across all communication channels.

Track and analyze the effectiveness of communication initiatives to identify areas for improvement and ensure strategic alignment.

Content and Brand Management:

Lead the curation and development of high-quality content for internal and external communication channels, maintaining brand image.

Collaborate with marketing, IT, and cross-functional teams to ensure the corporate website and digital platforms accurately represent the company's brand and values.

Drive creative branding initiatives that support the company's identity and foster stakeholder engagement across all levels.

Reputation Management:

Direct the research and analysis of reputation management strategies, identifying opportunities to position the company positively in the public eye.

Mentor the CSR team in planning and executing community engagement and sustainability initiatives, overseeing the communication of these activities to ensure alignment with corporate standards.

Ensure the integrity and accuracy of all public releases, including press notes and CSR-related announcements, upholding the company's image and values.

Develop and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential risks to the company’s reputation.

Budget Management:

Oversee the communication budget, ensuring all activities are cost-effective and within financial constraints.

Review and approve expenditures related to communication activities, ensuring optimal resource allocation and return on investment.

Monitor billing and budgeting, ensuring communication projects stay within financial limits and deliver maximum ROI.

Stakeholder Engagement and Digitization:

Cultivate strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to facilitate strategic communication and business objectives across the organisation.

Supervise the execution of major communication events to promote open dialogue within the company.

Lead the digitalization of communication efforts, enhancing the company's online presence through innovative digital content, social media strategies and modern technologies.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s / bachelor’s degree in journalism, brand / strategic communications, or equivalent
