Head – Environment

Environmental Compliance Management:
*Innovate and deploy an Environment Management System to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and international standards.
*Coordinate with regulatory agencies for obtaining necessary authorizations and permits, including Consent to Establish (CTO), Environment Clearance (EC), and Hazardous Waste Authorizations.
*Drive pre-project environmental compliance by coordinating forest clearances and securing environment clearance, including Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) clearance if applicable.
*Obtain Consent to Establish (CTO) post-clearance to commence construction activities.
*Manage hazardous waste authorization and liaise with the Central Ground Water Authority (CGWA) for water use, seepage, and groundwater management.

Communication and Coordination:
*Strategise with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, to fulfill environmental compliance requirements and submit necessary reports.
*Follow up with various departments, internal staff, and senior management for environmental projects and inspections.
*Coordinate with RO& HO CECB, MoEF, CGWA to fulfill the environment compliances and send the reports/MIS.
*Coordinate with different departments for site inspection visits by regulatory authorities and close any findings or observations.

Audit and Maintenance:
*Ensure internal environmental audits on a quarterly basis, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve environmental performance.
*Ensure timely maintenance and calibration of company-owned environmental monitoring equipment to maintain data accuracy.
*Conduct weekly safety inspection in the mine area, coal washery area, Loading & unloading area and CHP 1 & 2 area including DG sets. Find out the safety observations/Gaps and update in safety gensuite software.
*Maintain Environmental expenditure as per approved Budget Plan.

Monitoring, Reporting and Analysis:
*Conduct air and groundwater quality monitoring at planned locations as per statutory approvals using advanced monitoring equipment.
*Implement and comply with environmental regulations specified in EC, CTEs, CTOs, and CGWA NOCs, ensuring timely submission of statutory reports to relevant authorities.
*Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, Half-Yearly EC, FC Compliance reports & annual CGWA compliance reports.
*Develop monthly Management Information System (MIS) reports with respect to environmental performance and submit them to the Site Head and Head Office.
*Submit monthly compliances in Legatrix for documentation and tracking purposes.

Implement and Optimize Digital Solutions
*Ensure the effective utilization of digital platforms to improve team efficiency and productivity.

Education Qualification
BE-Chemical/ B.E. Environment / M.Sc. Environment

Work Experience
15 – 20 years of relevant experience
