Head - HSE, Logistics
Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning:
Formulate and execute EHS strategies aligned with organizational goals to enhance overall safety and environmental performance.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the EHS budget, ensuring cost-effective implementation of EHS initiatives.
EHS Program Implementation:
Create and implement health, safety, occupational, and environmental programs to prevent injuries and illnesses in the workplace and mitigate environmental hazards.
Incident Investigation & Corrective Action:
Inspect and investigate workplace and environmental incidents, adhering to company procedures, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Regulatory Compliance :
Ensure adherence to internal and external EHS requirements and identify areas for continuous improvement.
Training & Safety Awareness:
Develop and manage EHS training programs for employees to promote a safe and compliant work environment.
Stakeholder Management:
Maintain and foster relationships with community members, environmental groups, and other stakeholders impacted by the organization's environmental performance.
Brand Positioning:
Ensure Adani's brand values are shown in all interactions. Strengthen relationships to boost the organization's brand and trust within the market and company.
Digital Mindset:
Keep up with digital and AI advancements to enhance business and maintain competitiveness.
Team Development:
Promote a respectful and safe workplace, lead collaborative and productive teams, and mentor for growth and success.
Key Stakeholders - Internal:
HSEF Department, Operations and Maintenance Teams, Cross-functional Teams (HR, Legal)
Key Stakeholders - External:
Government Regulatory Bodies, Industry Compliance Partners, Consultants and Auditors, Vendors and Suppliers
Qualifications
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (Mandatory)
Work Experience:
Minimum 15 - 20 years of experience of progressive experience in EHS management, with infrastructure/construction industry at least 5 years in a leadership role.
