Strategic Leadership and Planning:

Drive operational efficiency by leading strategic O&M initiatives for Transmission Lines and Substations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Achieve measurable business outcomes by aligning O&M objectives with corporate strategic goals through the annual business planning process.

Drive sustainability by leading the integration of green practices into O&M strategies, ensuring compliance with long-term environmental goals and sustainability benchmarks.

Safeguard operational continuity by securing assets through advanced security systems and timely insurance coverage, minimizing risks, and ensuring operational stability.

Operational Excellence:

Maximize uptime and improve system health by leveraging advanced analytics to proactively identify and mitigate risks.

Ensure operational reliability by leading the integration of protection, automation, and communication technologies, reducing downtime, and improving overall system performance.

Ensure resource optimization and compliance with asset management agreements (TSA, RSA, BCD) by strategically using automated inventory and asset management systems.

Drive continuous improvement and standardization through O&M synergy events and frameworks such as IMS, 5S, and Business Excellence, ensuring cross-functional collaboration and efficiency.

Ensure seamless transitions by overseeing the integration of new assets into O&M phases, ensuring adherence to regulatory and quality standards.

Safety Governance:

Drive a safety-first culture to achieve sustained incident reduction and full compliance with global safety standards.

Establish governance frameworks that result in a zero-incident environment and proactive risk mitigation.

Ensure long-term safety resilience by enhancing workforce capabilities through targeted risk management and training programs.

Financial Management:

Drive financial performance by ensuring effective budget utilization, aligning O&M budget with EBITDA, PAT, and ROCE targets, and tracking Budget vs Actual to ensure optimal financial outcomes.

Maximize profitability by identifying and capitalizing on strategic revenue opportunities, such as OPGW, tower collaboration, and solar net metering, while optimizing cost structures across the organization.

Lead cost optimization initiatives to ensure long-term operational efficiency and resource maximization through the integration of both traditional and digital O&M systems.

Technology and Innovation:

Enhance asset reliability and reduce maintenance costs by leveraging advanced technologies like APM, condition monitoring, and digital twins for predictive maintenance, ensuring long-term cost savings.

Stay ahead of industry trends by advancing R&D in HVDC, STATCOM, FACTS, and load flow technologies, ensuring technological leadership.

Improve system efficiency and reduce downtime by standardizing emerging technologies across operations, enhancing overall reliability.

Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management:

Ensure operational resilience by guiding teams to mitigate risks through advanced analytics and system studies, preparing the organization for potential disruptions.

Minimize risks of non-compliance and operational disruptions by overseeing compliance with statutory requirements, TSA, and internal policies.

Drive a safety-first culture by ensuring zero fatalities/incidents through comprehensive training programs and maintaining global safety management standards.

Safeguard operational consistency by ensuring consistent safety, quality, and performance standards across traditional and digital operations.

Stakeholder Management:

Ensure smooth project execution and operational stability by fostering collaboration among internal teams and external stakeholders, including Load Dispatch Centres (LDCs), subcontractors, and technology providers.

Enhance organizational reputation by building trust and transparency with stakeholders through impactful representation at national and international forums, regulatory discussions, and industry engagements.

Minimize disruptions by proactively resolving operational challenges through cross-functional stakeholder engagement initiatives aligned with organizational objectives.

Team Management:

Drive excellence across all O&M domains by aligning team goals with organizational objectives.

Build a strong leadership pipeline by driving succession planning, preparing high-potential talent for leadership roles, and ensuring measurable improvements in team capability.

Enhance team performance through specialized training in HVDC, protection systems, and condition monitoring, ensuring technical excellence across the team.

Ensure ongoing engagement and motivation by developing Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and implementing reward and consequence management programs to sustain high team performance.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

Work Experience (Range of years):

Minimum of 15+ years of experience in O&M roles within the energy, utilities, or related industries.

Proven track record of leading large-scale O&M operations and teams, with a focus on asset management, risk mitigation, and financial performance.

Strong expertise in digital transformation, industry best practices (Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen), and innovative operational strategies.

In-depth knowledge of safety standards, regulatory compliance, ESG, and sustainability practices.
