Job Description for Internal Audit Manager

Objective -

• Objectives / Functions Manage, control, and apply the financial resources of the company.
• Provide accurate financial, accounting, and tax information for planning and operations.
• Handle all financial procedures with authorities and institutions.
• Ensure strict compliance with all RBI and NBFC regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities

• Accounting & NBFC Regulatory Compliance.
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns via RBI’s COSMOS portal (NBS-1, NBS-3, NBS-4, NBS-7, CRILC).
• Monitor and implement the latest RBI regulations and circulars.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports with zero non-compliance.
• Financial & Compliance Reporting. Prepare monthly and yearly financial reports as required for NBFC operations.
• Conduct internal compliance checks and ensure all financial data is accurate.
• Advisory Provide guidance to internal teams on accounting and regulatory matters.
• Ensure operations align with current financial and NBFC guidelines.
• Credit Information Reporting Manage accurate monthly submissions to CICs like CIBIL, Experian, etc.
• Ensure data integrity and resolve any reporting discrepancies.

Work Relationships -

• Coordinate with accounting, finance, compliance, and all relevant departments.
• Work with teams for product knowledge, applications, and regulatory implementation.
• Interact with RBI, CICs, and other regulatory institutions.

Education & Experience -

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• At least 2 years of NBFC experience with direct RBI compliance and COSMOS filing expertise.

Competencies -

• Strong knowledge of Finance, Accounting, Tax SOPs & NBFC regulations.
• Hands-on experience with RBI COSMOS portal and CIC reporting.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal).
• Ability to interpret and implement new RBI circulars quickly.
• Good understanding of banking, finance, and personal loan-based NBFC operations.
• Strong analytical thinking, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
