Inventory Manager

We are looking for an experienced Stores & Material Manager to oversee the trims store in our garment factory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the inventory of trims and accessories, ensuring efficient material flow, maintaining accurate stock records, and coordinating with production and procurement teams. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to optimize inventory management processes.

• Key Responsibilities: Inventory & Stock Management
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of trims such as labels, buttons, zippers, threads, elastics, and other accessories.
• Maintain an accurate inventory management system to track stock levels and prevent shortages or overstocking.
• Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expiry-First-Out) inventory management practices.
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to reorder trims based on production requirements and lead times.
• Store Operations & Compliance: Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of trims to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain clean and organized storage areas with proper shelving and bin management.
• Implement and enforce safety and compliance procedures for materials handling.
• Generate stock movement reports and maintain documentation for audits.
• Coordination & Communication: Work closely with production, planning, and purchase teams to ensure timely availability of trims.
• Communicate with suppliers for timely delivery and quality checks of received materials.
• Coordinate with the finance team for GRN (Goods Receipt Notes), invoice verification, and stock reconciliation.
• Address any discrepancies in material supply and take corrective actions.
• Process Optimization & Cost Control: Identify and implement cost-saving measures in trim procurement and storage.
• Optimize inventory turnover ratios to reduce dead stock.
• Introduce digital tools (ERP, inventory software) for improved tracking and reporting.
• Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience in trims, accessories, or materials management in a garment/textile factory.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control techniques, ERP systems, and warehouse operations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, or ERPNext for stock management.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in apparel or textile industry trims management.
