Kitchen Helper

Job Summary:A Kitchen Helper assists chefs and kitchen staff in preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the kitchen operates efficiently. This role is essential in supporting daily food preparation and maintaining hygiene standards.

• Key Responsibilities:Assist in basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping vegetables and fruits)
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen tools
• Receive and store food supplies properly
• Dispose of kitchen waste regularly and safely
• Help in organizing ingredients and maintaining stock rotation (FIFO)
• Support cooks and chefs during busy service hours
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Required Skills & Qualifications:Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation
• Ability to follow instructions
• Good teamwork and communication skills
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to cleanliness and detail
• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience (preferred but not required)
