Responsibilities

Lead - Transmission Line (HO)-Tx

Strategic Leadership and Planning:

Ensure high reliability and availability of transmission lines by implementing O&M policies and aligning site-level plans with organizational goals to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth operations.

Streamline outage planning by analysing availability impacts, aligning schedules with maintenance priorities, and ensuring cost-efficient execution of operational tasks.

Maintain uninterrupted operations by executing site-specific Business Continuity Plans (BCP) and Disaster Management Plans (DMP) to mitigate risks and ensure readiness during contingencies.

Coordinate Hand Over Take Over (HoTo) processes for new assets by ensuring compliance with quality benchmarks, safety protocols, and operational standards, facilitating seamless integration into ongoing operations.

Optimize resource utilization by managing manpower, tools, spares, and materials efficiently to achieve performance targets and operational cost-effectiveness.

Operational Excellence:

Maximize transmission line reliability by identifying root causes of outages, implementing RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence.

Improve asset longevity by implementing condition-based monitoring, predictive maintenance tools, and drone-based inspections to proactively address failures and optimize maintenance strategies.

Enhance operational efficiency by leveraging tools such as LAM-SAP, GIS, Kronos, and Field Force Mobility to track real-time O&M activities, resource allocation, and system performance.

Eliminate operational delays by ensuring the timely availability of manpower, tools, and spares for ongoing and upcoming maintenance projects, improving site-level readiness and uptime.

Drive process adherence by implementing tools like IMS, DISHA, and ESG, ensuring compliance with organizational frameworks and consistent operational excellence.

Safety Governance:

Foster a zero-incident culture by enforcing safety protocols, conducting safety audits, and addressing deviations through timely corrective and preventive actions.

Minimize site-level safety risks by conducting proactive risk assessments (HIRA), implementing mitigation plans, and ensuring adherence to statutory safety norms.

Strengthen workforce preparedness by driving safety awareness programs, organizing regular training sessions, and conducting site-specific safety drills to ensure compliance and minimize hazards.

Governance, Compliance, and Risk Management:

Mitigate operational risks by proactively identifying potential disruptions, optimizing maintenance schedules, and implementing robust risk mitigation strategies.

Ensure audit readiness and compliance with regulatory frameworks (IMS, DISHA, ESG) by maintaining accurate documentation and addressing deviations promptly.

Resolve ROW challenges and legal disputes by coordinating with government authorities and stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution of projects and minimizing operational delays.

Technology and Innovation:

Enhance maintenance efficiency and asset performance by leveraging advanced tools such as APM, GIS, Power BI, and condition-based monitoring for real-time decision-making and operational insights.

Drive digital adoption by implementing standardized platforms like LAM-SAP, Kronos, and Field Force Mobility to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and optimize site-level processes.

Support predictive maintenance initiatives, including digital twins and automation tools, to reduce failures, minimize downtime, and extend asset lifespan.

Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with internal teams, subcontractors, and cross-functional departments to address site-level challenges, resolve bottlenecks, and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.

Engage with government bodies, regulatory agencies, and external stakeholders to resolve ROW issues, legal disputes, and policy hurdles, ensuring project continuity and operational compliance.

Team Management:

Strengthen team capabilities by identifying training needs, conducting skill development programs, and fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Ensure workforce accountability by monitoring performance, resolving site-level challenges, and aligning team efforts with operational goals to drive efficiency and productivity.

Promote workforce readiness by implementing Individual Development Plans (IDPs), enabling professional growth opportunities, and supporting succession planning for critical roles.

Qualifications

Educational Qualification:

B.E./ B. Tech. in Electrical/ Electrical and Electronics

Work Experience (Range of years):

Min 7 to 14 years’ experience of EHV Transmission line O&M / Project coordination.

Field Knowledge / work exposure of Transmission line.
