Lead - Revenue Controller

Job Purpose: The purpose of this role is to assist in revenue and regulatory monitoring, ensuring accurate invoicing, claim validation, and merchant sales costing. The role supports MIS reporting, budget model review, and PPA analysis, contributing to efficient financial planning and revenue optimization.
Lead Revenue Controller
Revenue Monitoring and Claims Validation:
Track and validate claims and invoices, identifying discrepancies, ensuring accuracy in billing submissions, and conducting initial assessments for regulatory compliance.
Assist in auditing revenue claims for adherence to internal standards, submitting recommendations to improve invoicing accuracy and consistency across revenue streams.
Conduct compliance checks on revenue claims and coordinate with the regulatory team to ensure alignment with changing requirements.
Merchant Sales and Costing:
Monitor costing metrics for power sales, conducting periodic reviews of merchant sales data to validate alignment with budget projections and identifying any variances.
Prepare and submit MIS reports on plant performance and utilization to the Commercial Controller, focusing on identifying key revenue-driving metrics.
Support the ERCG team by processing and validating invoices, flagging any issues, and ensuring timely submission in line with merchant sales targets.
Budgeting and Financial Forecasting:
Review budget models prepared by F&A, providing cost validation inputs and refining models to enhance revenue projection accuracy.
Compile cost data and assist in projecting accurate financial forecasts for future merchant sales, aligning these with budget objectives.
Conduct detailed validations of cash flow projections provided by EBDG, sharing insights with F&A to support cash flow alignment with budgeted merchant sales targets.
PPA Costing and Concurrence Support:
Assist in reviewing PPA costing structures, checking for accuracy, and recommending updates to the cost framework as needed.
Provide inputs on MOD rates for scheduling, working closely with EBDG to ensure accurate financial assessments in power sale agreements.
Work with the F&A team to verify cost structures for PPAs, supporting adherence to financial goals and regulatory standards.
Compliance and Regulatory Updates:
Monitor changes in regulatory policies affecting revenue, working with relevant teams to implement updates and align practices accordingly.
Assist in ensuring all claims and revenue controls comply with industry standards and requirements, preparing reports for management review.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Engage with Finance, Commercial Controller, and EBDG teams to share revenue data, cost analysis, and regulatory updates.
Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors, regulatory authorities, and ERCG for efficient coordination and compliance.

Work Experience (Range of years):
Minimum 10 years of experience in revenue management, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance, preferably in the power, energy, or utilities sector along with proven experience in handling PPAs, regulatory costing, and compliance monitoring
Preferred Industry:
Experience in the power generation industry with knowledge of revenue practices, regulatory policies, and merchant sales.
Familiarity with cost structures in PPAs, cash flow projection, and revenue forecasting models.
