Lead - Spend Control
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities- Monthly MIS Preparation:
- Compile, review, and present monthly Finance MIS reports.
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data.
Expense Scrutiny & Reporting:
Analyse expenses by General Ledger, Cost Centre, and Fund Centre/Commitment.
Communicate actual expenditure to respective departments and stakeholders.
Budgeting:
Lead the preparation and presentation of annual and periodic budgets.
Maintain version control and ensure adherence to budget timelines.
Data Visualization & Automation:
Implement and manage Microsoft Power BI for MIS reporting and analysis.
Develop dashboards for Actual vs Budget, trend analysis, and cost centre performance monitoring.
Variance Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement:
Analyse and discuss deviations with stakeholders, documenting explanations.
Highlight key variances and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement tools or systems to enhance MIS and budget presentations.
Drive automation and efficiency in reporting processes.
Cost Control & Optimization:
Identify cost-saving opportunities through analysis of actual spend versus budget.
Recommend strategies for cost optimisation and process improvements.
Skills & Competencies- Strong knowledge of Financial Planning & Analysis
- Expertise in MIS reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI (including data modelling and dashboard creation).
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
Qualifications- Qualified CA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent, with strong accounting background.
- 7–10 years of experience in MIS reporting and budgeting.
- Experience in SAP systems and financial data management preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
