Lead - Supply Chain Management, Mechanical
Responsibilities
Strategic EHS Leadership and Oversight:
Establish and continuously refine EHS protocols by incorporating supply chain risk assessments, such as evaluating transportation safety, vendor compliance with environmental standards, and sustainable sourcing practices.
Collaborate with supply chain teams to address safety hazards related to materials and equipment, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions across all levels of project operations.
Material Management and Financial Control:
Develop and oversee procurement strategies that optimize supply chain efficiency, ensuring materials meet quality standards and arrive on schedule while minimizing transportation costs and excess inventory.
Audit financial documentation, including supplier invoices and purchase orders, to ensure transparency and accountability in material sourcing, aligning procurement decisions with project budgets and long-term financial goals.
Team Leadership and Development:
Foster a culture of supply chain collaboration within the mechanical team, mentoring members on procurement best practices, material handling, and efficient use of resources to enhance project outcomes.
Allocate resources effectively by aligning supply chain schedules with project needs, ensuring the team has the necessary materials and equipment to complete tasks on time and maintain alignment with broader project goals.
Project Milestone Management and Risk Mitigation:
Integrate supply chain monitoring into milestone tracking, identifying potential delays in material delivery and proactively adjusting schedules to mitigate risks.
Regularly communicate with supply chain stakeholders to ensure alignment on project progress and address logistical challenges that may impact critical timelines.
Advanced Quality Assurance and Technical Oversight:
Implement advanced quality control procedures as per SFQP guidelines that include evaluating vendor reliability, material quality, and compliance with supply chain standards to ensure system integrity.
Collaborate with suppliers to address recurring quality issues in materials or components, driving continuous improvement across the supply chain to enhance project reliability and reduce future risks.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with supply chain partners to negotiate optimal terms and delivery schedules for mechanical system procurement and installation, fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with vendors.
Act as the primary liaison between senior management, supply chain teams, and mechanical contractors, ensuring materials and equipment are sourced and delivered efficiently to meet broader project objectives on time and within budget.

Qualifications
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Certifications in mechanical systems, EHS (Environmental Health and Safety), or renewable energy technologies are desirable.
Work Experience:
18+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on energy, construction, or manufacturing sectors.
Experience in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems in industrial or renewable energy projects.
Knowledge of safety standards, quality assurance, and material management practices.
