Manager-Forward Auction

Responsibilities

Forward Auction Management

  • Manage the complete Forward e‑Auction lifecycle from receipt of request to post‑auction closure
  • Review and validate auction inputs received from Business Units / Scrap Committees, including lot details, specifications, quantities, photographs, commercial and tax information
  • Ensure auctions are conducted strictly as per approved Forward Auction policies and SOPs
 

Catalogue & Auction Readiness

  • Oversee review, of auction catalogues with accurate technical and commercial details
  • Ensure timely completion of pre‑auction activities such as inspections, bidder queries, EMD confirmation, and catalogue circulation
  • Coordinate with auction platforms to ensure readiness and adherence to timelines
 

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination

  • Act as the single point of contact (SPOC) between GCC/GCP, Business Units, Scrap Committees, Value Added Service (VAS) providers, and Valuers
  • Coordinate with empaneled auction service providers for auction setup, execution, and reporting
  • Liaise with valuers for reserve price determination where applicable
  • Manage internal stakeholders from business and Central team leaders
 

Auction Execution & Governance

  • Monitor live auctions to ensure fairness, transparency, and procedural compliance
  • Validate bids received and share auction outcomes with relevant stakeholders for approval
  • Manage re‑auction cases in line with policy guidelines
 

Post‑Auction & Closure Activities

  • Share finalized auction reports and recommendations with Business Units / Scrap Committees
  • Coordinate issuance of LOI / Sale Orders with concerned teams
  • Track payment realization, material lifting status, deviations, and auction closure
  • Maintain complete documentation for audit and governance purposes
 

MIS & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare and publish MIS reports and dashboards on auction performance, realization, bidder participation, and re‑auction trends
  • Identify opportunities for process standardization, centralization, and efficiency improvement
  • Support management reviews and audits related to Forward Auction activities

Qualifications

Qualification & Experience

  • Education: Graduate / Post‑Graduate in Engineering, Management, Commerce, Supply Chain or equivalent
  • Experience:
    • 12–15 years of relevant experience
    • Prior exposure to Forward Auctions, Scrap Sales, Asset Disposal, or E‑Procurement preferred
