Mechanical Systems Design Manager - Centralized Chilled Water Plants

Manager Technology - DCS

• Development and review of schematic, concept, and detailed design of Mechanical systems for the centralized chilled water plants
• Preparation of Design basis repot (DBR), technical specifications and bill of materials (BOM)
• Preparation of BOQ, cost estimates and develop cost benchmarking for the central chiller plants.
• Liaising with OEMs and other technical groups to bring in best in class cost/energy efficient technologies and innovation.
• Keep completely updated about the latest HVAC trends in the market.
• Preparation of lifecycle cost analysis for the projects
• Design and sizing of all the mechanical equipment in a central chiller plant like Chillers, Pumps, Piping. Cooling tower and other mechanical systems/equipment
• Preparation of Tender packages and contract documents for Tendering
• Review of Tender documents from OEMs, consultants, contractors and prepare technical clarifications and list of deviations when required.
• Review of pump head calculations and ventilation calculations for plant rooms and electrical substations associated with the central chiller plants.
• Manage all the design deliverable to meet timeframe, budget, and quality constraints.
• Undertake necessary engineering coordination during procurement and construction. Testing & Commissioning and Operation & Maintenance phase
• Work collaboratively with all other departments and other technical development teams
• Carry out technical site due diligence as a part of Merger & Acquisition of projects, for both High side and low side HVAC assets.
• Sound knowledge on Codes and Standards, NBC, ASHRAE, BS, CIBSE, etc.
• Shall possess basic knowledge of electrical equipment and electrical design related to HVAC centralized chiller plant.
• Shall be capable of high-level review of electrical SLDs.
• Preparation of deliverable list & schedule, Man-hour estimate, resource requirement and Progress report
• Conversant with relevant design software’s to facilitate the design of central chiller plant.
• Good understanding of CFD and Stress analysis
• Maintain proper engineering database in the central folder in a structured manner.
• Ensuring the organization adheres to legal frameworks in areas such as discipline & grievance, redundancy, and employment law
• Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, and a responsible environmental attitude.

Educational Qualification:
BE / B. Tech, ME / M. Tech – Mechanical
Experiences:
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience
