Material Controller - PIM

Responsibilities

▪Design MTO & Detailing MTO (Civil, Structural, Piping) Control and Management using SMat.
▪MTO Analysis, Reservation, Forecast & Work package Definition as per project Priorities.
▪MTO Trending & Monitoring during Project Execution & at Project Milestones.
▪Expediting with stakeholders to ensure fabrication & construction readiness based on material front availability.
▪Participate in project discussions, investigate, and understand project requirements of material.
▪Co-ordinate & collaborate with stakeholders for MTO trouble shooting & MTO Availability for Execution of Drawing.
▪Provide Visibility to stakeholders for MTO Status for each stage. (Procured MTO, Allocated MTO, Issued/Return MTO, Consumed MTO etc).
▪Provide technical direction in the analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance for bug fixes and enhancements related to the Hexagon SmartPlant Materials suite of applications and its interfaces.
▪Lead and plan the development of SMat Site Material Control as per best industries Practices.
▪Create department standards and project specific reports and reporting methods as needed.
▪Preparation of Project Close-out & Reconciliation Report.
▪Preparation of Various Weekly reports based on Management needs.

▪Implement suite of reports and Interfaces with other application (SMat – ARIBA, SMat – Spoolgen, SMat – TEKLA) by gathering requirements.
▪Develop relationships with PMC and detail engineering contractors for work practices.
▪Work on Change Management, to ensure representation and coordination of projects throughout the change and release process.
▪Actively participate in design discussions and code reviews
▪Continuously drive excellence in the areas of optimizing services and work processes, improving quality and reliability and lowering total costs
▪Liaise with software vendor for issue reporting and resolution.

Qualifications

▪Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
▪10+ years’ experience in Materials Management, preferably using SmartPlant Material.
▪Experience in integrated environment across E P & C applications will be a plus
▪Experience in Oil and Gas/Chemical/Petrochemical
▪Experience of project execution in a multi-contractor site workshare environment.
▪Experience using and customizing the Business Intelligence Reporting (BIR) tool.
▪Working knowledge of SAP and the integration points with other SAP modules and non-SAP systems
▪Vendor relationship and product management skills
