Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Development: Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical components and systems based on project requirements.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and engineering reports.
• Product Optimization: Refine existing designs to improve performance, reduce manufacturing costs, and ensure structural integrity.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with the production and assembly teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and resolve any technical issues on the shop floor.
• Standardization: Maintain and organize a library of design components and ensure all drawings comply with industry standards (ISO/DIN/ANSI).
• Research & Innovation: Stay updated on new materials, manufacturing processes, and industry trends to keep the company’s product line competitive.
• Validation: Conduct design calculations (stress, strain, load-bearing) and, if required, perform basic simulations to validate mechanical designs.

Skills:

• Software Expertise: Professional-level proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or Inventor).
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes (machining, welding, fabrication).
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T): Ability to apply and interpret GD&T symbols accurately.
• Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot design flaws and offer creative engineering solutions.
• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with the sales/production teams.

• Location: Local candidate from Ahmedabad (Mandatory).
• Availability: Immediate Joiner is highly preferred.
• Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
