Job Purpose: We are seeking a skilled and innovative Designer with expertise in hydraulic systems, particularly in the design of hydraulic power packs and cylinders. The Designer will be responsible for creating detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for our hydraulic products, ensuring they meet industry standards and client requirements. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to develop efficient, reliable, and cost-effective hydraulic solutions.

Responsibilities:

Responsible & Review for:

• Design Development:
• Conceptualize, design, and develop hydraulic power packs and cylinders according to project requirements.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and schematics using design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Technical Documentation:
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, material lists, and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate with the documentation team to ensure all design documents are up-to-date and accessible.
• Prototyping and Testing:
• Work closely with the prototyping team to build and test design concepts.
• Analyze test results, make necessary design modifications, and ensure prototypes meet performance and safety criteria.
• Project Collaboration:
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of designs into the manufacturing process.
• Provide technical support and guidance during the production phase to resolve design-related issues.
• Innovation and Improvement:
• Continuously research and implement new design methodologies, materials, and technologies to improve product performance and reduce costs.
• Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative efforts to foster innovation.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure all designs are optimized for manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct thorough design checks and revisions to eliminate errors and ensure the highest quality standards.
• Customer Interaction:
• Engage with clients to understand their specific needs and provide custom design solutions.

Support the sales and marketing teams by providing technical insights and design details during client meetings and presentations.

Requisite Skills: Strong understanding of hydraulic principles, components, and systems.

Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Good communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.

Desired Skills:

Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes used in hydraulic system production.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.

Certification in CAD software or hydraulic systems design is a plus.
