Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in pipeline design to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, layout, and analysis of piping systems for industrial, oil & gas, or utility projects, ensuring compliance with industry codes, safety standards, and project requirements.

• Key Responsibilities:Develop pipeline and piping system designs using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, PDMS, or Plant 3D).
• Prepare and review P&IDs, isometric drawings, GA drawings, and support details.
• Conduct pipeline stress analysis using tools like CAESAR II or equivalent.
• Select appropriate materials and components based on pressure, temperature, and flow requirements.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, ANSI, API, and other relevant standards.
• Work closely with process, civil, and structural teams to integrate pipeline design with overall project design.
• Conduct site visits for data collection, feasibility studies, and installation support.
• Prepare technical documentation, BOMs, and design reports.
• Support procurement, fabrication, and construction teams with design clarifications.
• Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in pipeline or piping system design (preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or utility sectors).
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, PDMS, or E3D.
• Working knowledge of stress analysis tools like CAESAR II.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Preferred Skills (Optional):Knowledge of hydraulic analysis tools (e.g., AFT Fathom, PIPE-FLO).
• Experience with 3D modeling and BIM tools.
• Prior exposure to EPC or infrastructure projects.
