🔍 Core Role

A Non-Motor Underwriter evaluates risk and decides whether to accept, reject, or modify insurance proposals for non-motor lines like health, property, marine, liability, travel, engineering, etc., while ensuring profitability and compliance.

1. Assess proposals for non-motor policies (Health, Property, Marine, Liability, Engineering, Travel, etc.)
2. Analyze risk factors, exposure, past claims history, and coverage requirements
3. Decide on acceptance, rejection, loading, deductibles, or special terms
4. Issue quotations, endorsements, renewals, and policy documents
5. Ensure underwriting is aligned with company policies, IRDAI regulations, and reinsurance treaties
6. Determine premiums as per underwriting guidelines and authority limits
