A **Pharmacy Sales Assistant** supports the pharmacist in daily store operations, ensures smooth customer service, maintains medicine inventory, and assists in billing and store organization. The role requires accuracy, responsibility, and good customer interaction skills.

## 🎯 Main Responsibilities

### 1️⃣ Customer Service & Sales

* Greet customers politely and understand their needs.

* Assist customers in finding OTC medicines, surgical items, wellness, and personal care products.

* Explain basic usage instructions for non-prescription products.

* Promote generic alternatives and cost-effective options when appropriate.

* Handle customer queries professionally.

### 2️⃣ Prescription Handling Support

* Receive prescriptions and forward them to the pharmacist.

* Arrange medicines as per prescription under pharmacist supervision.

* Ensure correct quantity and packaging before billing.

* Maintain patient confidentiality.

### 3️⃣ Billing & Cash Handling

* Prepare accurate bills using pharmacy software.

* Handle cash, UPI, card payments, and provide correct change.

* Maintain daily sales records and receipts.

* Assist in insurance and reimbursement billing when required.

### 4️⃣ Inventory Management

* Check stock availability regularly.

* Arrange medicines using **FEFO (First Expiry First Out)** method.

* Remove expired or damaged products immediately.

* Assist in stock counting and inventory audits.

* Inform pharmacist about low stock items.

### 5️⃣ Store Organization & Maintenance

* Keep shelves clean, organized, and properly labeled.

* Ensure temperature-sensitive medicines are stored correctly.

* Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the store.

* Ensure proper display of OTC and wellness products.

### 6️⃣ Delivery & Support Tasks (if required)

* Deliver medicines to nearby customers.

* Pack medicines safely for home delivery.

* Assist in receiving stock from suppliers.

* Check invoices and verify received items.

### 7️⃣ Administrative & Computer Work

* Enter purchase entries and update stock in software.

* Maintain files, bills, and supplier records.

* Make calls to customers for order updates or medicine availability.
