Picker / Packer

The Packing and Finishing Worker plays a critical role in ensuring that finished trousers meet quality standards and buyer requirements before dispatch. This role is part of the Finishing & Packing Department and involves handling garments after stitching and washing processes.

The worker is responsible for thread trimming, checking garments for stains, damages, or stitching defects, and ensuring overall neat appearance. Finished garments must be properly pressed or ironed as per style requirements, maintaining correct creases, shape, and presentation. Workers must follow approved samples and packing instructions strictly.

After finishing, the worker folds garments according to the defined folding method, attaches tags, labels, barcodes, and size stickers as instructed, and packs garments into polybags or cartons as per buyer packing ratios. Accurate counting of pieces during packing is mandatory to avoid shortages or excess. Any mismatch, defect, or damage must be immediately reported to the supervisor or QC team.

The role requires basic garment handling skills, attention to detail, cleanliness, and the ability to work efficiently under deadlines. Workers must maintain a clean workstation and handle garments carefully to prevent rework or rejection. This position is typically daily wage or contract-based and reports to the Finishing Supervisor or Packing In-charge.
