Production Manager

Key Responsibilities A. Inventory Management System Implementation • Conduct comprehensive stock audit across all categories (Raw Materials, Packing Materials, Semi-finished Goods, Finished Goods) • Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) framework with batch tracking mechanisms • Create and deploy Inward/Outward SOPs with documentation systems • Establish batch tracking and stock movement control processes • Conduct dead stock and slow-moving inventory analysis • Design and implement storage optimization layout for the factory floor • Monitor and reduce stock leakage (current 2% loss) • Track and report inventory investment and blockage metrics B. Production Planning and Control • Develop and implement daily production planning formats • Conduct capacity mapping for all production lines (Grinding, Packing, Sorting, Design and implement quality control and loss control systems • Establish Production vs Dispatch tracking mechanisms • Develop manpower planning matrix aligned with production requirements • Ensure raw material processing consistency (fumigation, sewing, quality checks) • Move production from urgency-based to system-driven planning C. Purchase and Vendor Management • Create vendor evaluation framework with scoring metrics • Implement rate comparison and approval matrix systems • Develop purchase planning models based on consumption trend analysis • Create and deploy raw material quality check SOPs • Coordinate with purchase team to optimize procurement cycles Administrative Systems and Reporting • Design and implement Daily MIS (Management Information System) formats • Establish weekly review structures with key stakeholders • Create monthly operational dashboard with critical KPIs • Generate stock ageing reports regularly • Develop production efficiency reporting mechanisms • Plan and optimize space utilization across factory areas • Enable data-driven decision making through systematic reporting E. HR and People Systems • Define department-wise role clarity for 50-60 factory team members • Create Job Descriptions (JDs) for all factory positions • Establish KRAs (Key Result Areas) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

Required Qualifications Educational Background • Bachelor's degree in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field • MBA in Operations/Supply Chain Management (preferred) Experience • Minimum 7-10 years of production management experience in FMCG/Food Processing/Spice Manufacturing industry • Proven track record of implementing production systems and inventory controls • Experience managing factory workforce of 100+ employees • Hands-on experience with process standardization and SOP creation

Technical Skills • Strong understanding of FIFO, inventory management, and stock control systems • Proficiency in production planning, capacity utilization, and efficiency metrics • Knowledge of quality control systems and loss prevention • Experience with MIS reporting and dashboard creation • Familiarity with vendor management and purchase planning • Understanding of 5S, lean manufacturing, six sigma or continuous improvement 

Software/Tools Proficiency • MS Excel (Advanced - for MIS and data analysis) • ERP/Inventory Management Software experience • Google Workspace / Microsoft Office Suite • Production planning software (preferred)
