Job Description

The Person will be responsible for managing procurement activities and coordinating various aspects of a hospital construction project. This dual-role position involves sourcing and purchasing materials, ensuring timely deliveries, coordinating with contractors, vendors, and consultants, and supporting the overall execution of the project to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.

  • Key Responsibilities:Procurement Responsibilities:Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors for construction materials, medical equipment, MEP supplies, and other essentials.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Track inventory and material usage to forecast requirements and avoid shortages.
  • Maintain and update procurement records, vendor database, and pricing history.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital standards and regulatory requirements in procurement.
  • Coordinate logistics and delivery schedules with vendors and site teams.
  • Project Coordination Responsibilities:Act as a liaison between the procurement team, contractors, site engineers, and consultants.
  • Assist the Project Manager in tracking project progress, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation, including BOQs, drawings, and project timelines.
  • Facilitate site requirements by ensuring timely delivery of materials and resources.
  • Monitor project milestones and report deviations or delays.
  • Support budget management and cost tracking for procurement-related expenses.
  • Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 3–6 years of experience in procurement and/or project coordination, preferably in healthcare or infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with construction materials, hospital-specific equipment, and vendor networks.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (like SAP, Tally, or Oracle), and project management tools.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
