Role Purpose

To manage all stock inward and outward activities accurately and efficiently, ensure timely GRN creation, maintain proper stock records, and support healthy inventory control. The role ensures compliance with SOPs, reduces stock loss, and supports smooth store operations.

• Key Responsibilities

1. Stock Inward ManagementReceive stock from warehouse, vendors, and inter-store transfers.

• Verify quantities, item codes, and product conditions as per invoices/challans.
• Create GRN (Goods Receipt Note) on system accurately and within timelines.
• Highlight discrepancies (shortage, excess, damage) and coordinate with WH/vendor for resolution.
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and allocation to departments.

2. Stock Outward ManagementProcess outward stock for returns, RTVs, inter-store transfers, or vendor pickups.

• Generate gate passes, outward notes, and system entries as per SOP.
• Pack and dispatch goods safely to avoid damage or shrink.
• Maintain daily outward registers and ensure audit readiness.

3. Inventory Control & DocumentationMaintain accurate records of inward/outward stock in system and logbooks.

• Support daily/weekly cycle counts and full physical inventory.
• Report stock mismatches, shrink, or pilferage cases to Store/Inventory Manager.
• Ensure compliance with company stock movement SOPs and audit standards.

4. Coordination & Communication Coordinate with buying/merch team, warehouse, VM, and floor staff for timely stock availability.

• Ensure timely replenishment and stock flow to shop floor.
• Communicate status of damaged/hold stock and help with liquidation or RTV processes.

5. Systems & Tools Usage

Must be able to operate:

• Retail stock management / ERP systems (SAP or equivalent)
• POS system for stock adjustments
• WMS (Warehouse Management System)
• MS Excel (basic to intermediate)
• Handheld scanner devices (HHT) for barcode scanning

Key KPIs (Performance Indicators) GRN accuracy and timeliness

• Zero error in inward/outward documentation
• Reduction in stock discrepancies and shrink
• Audit scores (Stock & Process audits)
• TAT for replenishment and dispatch
• Accurate maintenance of daily registers and system entries
