• • Qualifications: Engineering degree preferred (*Chemical Engineering will be ideal). Finance degree will be considered.

• • Experience: 3-5 work experience preferred, ideally in refining and downstream sectors (e.g., storage terminal, fuel retail, crude oils, LPG, base-oils and lubricants). Relevant experience to energy/commodities will be considered.   

Global Analytical Center works as a research & analytics center for S&P Global. We are looking for a dynamic team member who is eager to rapidly learn and develop high levels of analytical and data management skills to source and interpret data combined with generating and communicating high-quality insight into future trends. This person will work on refining and downstream sectors (e.g., storage terminal, fuel retail, crude oils, LPG, base-oils and lubricants). The role involves:

• Functional responsibilities:
  • Assist with complex research assignments across the industry by utilizing different sources and advanced secondary research techniques and data analytics.
  • Conduct in-depth research on geographic segment trends, competitors, industry market trends and issues, and relevant technology topics.
  • Help maintain, and enhance proprietary analytical models and databases currently marketed to clients such as supply/demand, inventory models, etc.
  • Possess and demonstrate clear communications skills and analytical creativity to determine and develop deliverables that best serves client needs and budget.
  • Interpret modeling results for understanding and reasonableness.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to research and deliberate on the latest market trends.
  • Support thought leadership and writing insight papers based on research highlighting recent market developments and government policies.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with local and regional management.
  • Perform data structuring and analysis using technology tools such as Python, and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Spotfire and Tableau

  • Ensure highest standard of quality in every deliverable and exceed client expectations
  • Meet desired timeliness and provide critical and time-sensitive support, as per client requirements
  • Contribute towards process improvements; Identify and help implement team level initiatives
  • Strictly practice and follow all Compliance, Confidentiality, and Information Security Policies, Procedures and Guidelines of the Organization.

• Client Management / Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain relationships with international clients
  • Set expectations with clients regarding scope of work, timelines etc.for routine tasks
