Sales Consultant

Position: Consultant – FMCG Sales & Distribution

Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced FMCG Consultant who can support and guide organizations in strengthening their sales and distribution operations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in managing FMCG distribution networks and setting up structured sales processes.

• Key ResponsibilitiesManage and optimize FMCG distribution channels, including distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and other sales channels
• Analyze existing sales and distribution structures and recommend improvements
• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for sales and distribution processes
• Define and monitor KRAs and KPIs for distributors, sales teams, and channel partners
• Support channel expansion, route-to-market strategies, and territory planning
• Ensure alignment between sales targets, distribution reach, and operational efficiency
• Provide strategic guidance and practical solutions to clients for improving market penetration and sales performance
• Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation as required by clients and management
• Required Skills & CompetenciesMinimum 10 years of experience in the FMCG sector, specifically in sales and distribution
• Strong understanding of FMCG distribution models and sales channels
• Proven experience in preparing SOPs, KRAs, and KPIs for sales and distribution functions
• Ability to analyze data and convert insights into actionable strategies
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Consulting mindset with problem-solving and process-improvement capabilities
• Preferred QualificationsPrior experience in a consulting or advisory role (added advantage)
• Exposure to multi-location or pan-India FMCG operations
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
