Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Generation & Business Development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through field visits, calls, referrals, distributor networks, and online channels.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients including residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
- Conduct cold calling and follow-ups to schedule client meetings and site visits.
2. Client Engagement & Consultation
- Understand customer requirements related to energy consumption, site feasibility, and budget.
- Present suitable solar solutions, financial benefits, return on investment, and technical features.
- Educate customers on net metering, government policies, and subsidies (where applicable).
3. Sales Process Management
- Prepare and share quotations, proposals, and pricing in coordination with management.
- Negotiate terms and close sales contracts professionally.
- Ensure timely documentation, approvals, and handover to the execution team.
4. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
- Provide post-sales support and coordinate with service teams for customer satisfaction.
- Manage key accounts and generate repeat and referral business.
5. Market & Competitor Intelligence
- Track market trends, competitor offerings, and price benchmarks.
- Provide regular feedback and insights to management.
6. Reporting & KPI Tracking
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, leads, and conversions in CRM or sales reports.
- Achieve monthly targets including revenue, leads, and closure ratios.
- Share daily/weekly updates with the sales head or management.
7. Cross-Department Coordination
- Work closely with engineering, logistics, accounts, and project execution teams.
- Ensure smooth delivery, installation planning, and customer communication.
8. Compliance & Ethics
- Follow company policies, pricing structures, and approval processes.
- Maintain professionalism and integrity in all client interactions.
