Job Description
he main duties of a retail sales executive include:
- Customer Engagement: Greeting customers, answering queries, providing detailed product information, and offering recommendations or personalized advice (e.g., fashion styling).
- Sales Performance: Actively promoting products and special offers, up-selling/cross-selling merchandise, and working towards meeting and exceeding individual and store sales targets/KPIs.
- Transaction Processing: Handling cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Merchandising & Inventory: Maintaining an organized and visually appealing sales floor, assisting with inventory management tasks like receiving shipments, restocking shelves, and conducting stock counts.
- Problem-Solving: Addressing customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and build brand loyalty.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinating with team members and management to ensure smooth store operations, achieve overall store goals, and stay updated on policies and promotions.
