Job Description: Sales Manager – FMCG (State Sales & Distribution)Experience Required: Minimum 7+ years

About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to establish and scale our Sales & Distribution network for FMCG products across the state. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of building state-wide distribution systems, driving revenue, launching products, and leading high-performing sales teams.

  • Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Distribution DevelopmentEstablish and expand the entire state-level sales and distribution network.
  • Identify, evaluate, and appoint new distributors, super stockists, and channel partners.
  • Develop an efficient Primary & Secondary Sales structure to ensure market penetration.
  • 2. Revenue & Business PlanningPrepare quarterly and annual sales plans, revenue forecasts, and operational budgets.
  • Drive consistent sales growth through structured market planning and KPI management.
  • 3. GTM Strategy ImplementationImplement and monitor Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies across all territories.
  • Define beat plans, route plans, product placement strategies, and retail coverage expansion.
  • 4. State Launch & Product Launch ExecutionLead state-level launches for new products and categories.
  • Execute launch campaigns, trade promotions, and channel activation plans.
  • 5. Team Leadership & TrainingRecruit, train, and manage the sales team including Territory Sales Executives (TSEs), SOs, and field staff.
  • Conduct regular training on product knowledge, market execution, and sales processes.
  • 6. Channel & Institutional SalesManage and grow channel sales across General Trade (GT), Modern Trade (MT), and Institutional segments.
  • Build relationships with key accounts, institutional buyers, and trade partners.
  • 7. Market Analysis & ReportingTrack competitor activities, pricing trends, and market opportunities.
  • Prepare MIS reports, performance dashboards, and business insights for management.
  • Candidate RequirementsMinimum 7+ years of experience in FMCG/Consumer Appliances/Telecom/Skincare/Food & Beverage sectors.
  • Must have hands-on experience in establishing sales & distribution networks for an entire state.
  • Strong understanding of channel distribution, general trade, and institutional sales.
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Hindi; Gujarati is an added advantage.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage distributors, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in planning and execution.
